Make decision on router

I have currently got the netgear wgt634u which causes so many problems. I need router recommendations based on these key factors:

.Has to support xbox360 live
.Has to have very little dropout problems
.i have One pc, Xbox360 and 2nd pc connected wirelessly from downstairs.

thank you for any help.

I would go for this:

Linksys WRT54G

or this:

Linksys WRT54GS

I have the WRT54GS, but there's not much difference between them.

I've had mine for about 6 weeks now and not had to reboot it even once, the signal strength is fantastic, very easy to set up too, just read the instructions, then pop in the CD and that's it.

What exactly is the difference between them... is it just the speedbooster or is that on both...

The GS has speedbooster. The G doesn't.

Re: Make decision on router

What problems are you having with the netgear router?

(Not sure if I am teaching you to suck eggs so apologies if I am) but have you updated the routers firmware to the latest revision?

Ah - just found this snippet (taken from http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/N100981.asp )

Firmware versions 1.4.1.8 and 1.4.1.10 are certified for use with Xbox Live, later firmware will probably work, but has not yet been certified.
