Re: Ash Vs the evil dead
Best thing I've seen on TV in a long time.
So glad Ash is back and its been done by the original director, producer and others.
Sam and Ted Raimi and Bob Tapart and of course Bruce Campbell. So many nods from the original films and even flashbacks using the old footage.
Also happy knowing thgat its also been given a second series already.
In the words of Bruce "Groovy"

Unfortunately apart from the first episode Sam Raimi and Bob Tapert are only executive producers, they are involved in name only after that one. I really hope the rest of the episodes are as good as the pilot though, it was brilliant.

Re: Ash Vs the evil dead
I've just watched the first episode.
I'm not sure how those not familiar with the films would find it, but as a fan of the Evil Dead I loved it!

I don't think that's true. I remember reading somewhere that the reason the show is filmed in New Zealand is so that Bob Tapert could be involved in the show.

I'm not sure what involvement you are expecting him to have. He hasn't written anything since 2002, he's never been a director other than a couple of episodes of Xena and is only ever a producer/executive producer in projects now.

Yes, you heard correctly, the Evil Dead franchise is being resurrected, and it’s landing exclusively on Virgin Media next week. That means only you can watch Bruce Campbell’s bulldozer chin and chainsaw hand make a comeback, and we are very excited. Whether you’re already a fan of this cult favourite, are partial to hilarious horror comedies or simply on the lookout for a new show to get stuck into, you won’t want to miss this Virgin exclusive. And what’s more, you’ll have supreme bragging rights among your mates as Ash Vs Evil Dead isn’t available to watch anywhere else in the UK!

So looks like Virgin launch their attack on Sky Atlantic and its exclusves at last

Ugh. I hate the idea of platform exclusives in general anyway, but I especially hate it when the platform is one that many people literally cannot actually get.

They do, but it's only the same as BT with "Fear the Walking dead"
