You need to buy a router, and then connect your PC and PS3 to that.

There is a way to share your internet connection via a PC but it is fairly prone to not working very well.

The ADSL connection will connect to the router (look at say, the Netgear DG834G) and then you have wireless and wired options for your PC and PS3. You can also get a non-wireless variant for a bit less.

you ideally want an ADSL wireless router.

However if the cable you bought is crossover or your network port on your pc is smart enough to autosence (some are but most aren't) you could get away with enabling ICS on your pc.

Go into control panel and look for the network connections (if its winxp, its easier to find if you put the control panel in "classic view" if possible)

Right click on your broadband connection and then click properties.
Click on the tab that says sharing (or it might be under "advanced")

there should be a checkbox saying share this connection with other computers click it and then press apply.
