Question Security on a Belkin Router G

I have a Belkin ROuter g. It is connectd through a wired set up in the Office. I have set up my laptop on a wireless connection. The connection is fine, but I need to know what steps I need to follow to set up security protection to prvent people access the network and my computers...please help and leave messages or email me on Removed

browse the routers pages you may need to read the manual but it will be in a web browser with the address 192.168.1.1 or similar and enter default username and password often just admin for both, then browse to wireless security and set a wpa key (just a password) and save settings .You will then need to reconnect wirelessly using this password. Also when browsing the router change the access password which will be default password or admin etc
