I personally think that would be an outstanding signing for Fergie, if he gets him. I suspect that Real Madrid will be keeping a very close eye on him as well and jump in to snatch him away.
Ballack is a world class performer and united are lacking that a bit at the minute.

If it's possible for a multi-billionaire to throw his toys out of the pram then Chelski owner Roman Abramovich has done it after ordering a probe into the table-toppers' apparent 'slump'. Oh the utter indignity of losing a match in the Premiership!

ManYoo have reportedly decided not to offer Roy Keane a new deal.

The Sun says the club will let the Irishman leave next summer when his present contract expires but only after giving 'their skipper a £5million testimonial at the end of this season as a golden farewell.'

ccording to The Daily Mirror, Ferguson 'is ready to offer Michael Ballack the Manchester United captaincy to ensure he wins the race to sign the German midfielder.

The paper says that ManYoo are 'convinced' Ballack will sign a pre-contract agreement with them in January.
