I also like the way that it appears to assume the UK market keep Nintendo afloat... I mean, wtf? This is also a fave...

...like they don't have that now? The moral of the story? DFC Intelligence don't know as much as they think they do, certainly not in a world wide market sense. Just check their other articles here.

It's just cool to diss the N, 'cos everybody does it. And they've been doing it since the days of the N64. Granted, only one truck load of money stops at Nintendo these days, instead of three but it certainly isn't like Nintendo are doing anything wrong; it's just the gaming market has moved on since and the general, mainstream gamer doesn't buy into the "other" systems like a certain, major household brand. Nintendo are still seen as one of the old guard, likely to disappear from the home hardware market like Sega did before them. Not sure why mind, but it doesn't stop articles like this from appearing

Interesting article from thegameswire.com.

It seeams that although the Gamecube had it's best Xmas, it is still way behind the Xbox and PS2 in sales.

Mario Kart 64 beats it hands down. I can`t begin to count the number of hours I've put into Mario Kart 64, I can probably count the minutes I've put into Mario KartD. Nintendo seriously dropped the ball with this iteration of the franchise by dumbing down the game mechanics too much.
