Re: The Last Ship : Season 1
It was better than I had expected with the Michael Bay name attached.
Now that they're back in the USA it's heading into the same territory as Revolution and Jericho and it's certain to get cancelled.

Re: The Last Ship
I'm really getting in to this now! But what spoils it are the completely unrealistic and stereotypical British characters. OK we ought to get used to the fact we'll always be the villains in shows like this but the way they speak, the expressions they use etc are just laughable. Rhona Mitra is great but let's face it none of us speak or act like her character. Laughable that they use British expressions modified for the Americans so they'll know what the Brits are talking about. If a sea crew weas under attack I really don't think they'd be saying "Oh bloody hell, let's bugger off back to England".....
A lot of the show reminds me of The Survivors that was on a few years back which ran out of steam after 2 seasons. Let's hope the Yanks have better ideas for this as the bigger budget has potential as long as they don't get lazy and just spend it on a load of explosions to keep us interested.

Re: The Last Ship
Anybody still with this? The awful Brit characters are distracting but they've not been in it so much in the past few weeks so it's been a lot better.
They've just announced a third season so it seems they have ideas for new directions and the current one of making the Navy out as the bad guys is good if a little predictable.

Re: The Last Ship
I am amazed that the sub ever manages to do anything its so shambolically run. I suppose you could think of it as the comedy light relief, but I suppose typical of the American view of the rest of the world. But still eminently watchable.

Re: The Last Ship
It's getting to be hard work but yes still watching and yes the Brit characters are as naff as naff can be.
