Question Buffalo AirStation G54 keeps losing security settings!

Hi All,
I use a Buffalo Airstation G54 router which up to recently I have had no trouble with (admittadly I have had it for several years now but as I'm only on 20 Mb it suits my needs!). Problem now is that it keeps dropping its security settings and defaulting to "Open". Now I don't think anyone in my street will be using my connection, but it is a bit worrying that my network keeps openning itself up! Anyone out there have any ideas or had this before?

Re: Buffalo AirStation G54 keeps losing security settings!

You could try replacing the firmware with DD-WRT

Sounds interesting. Does it matter that my router is a WYR model not WRT ? As I say its quite old!

No, however you should try a hard reset first.

If that doesn't fix it you've likely got a hardware fault and putting dd-wrt on it may just break it completely.
