Derren Brown Apocalypse a fraud ?
Looks like an actor played the role of the victim. Very poor on the cover up though almost as if they wanted to get rumbled

Anyone who believes everything an illusionist says needs their head examining. It's all trickery and really shouldn't be taken at face value.
One of these days someone will make a great deal of money showing how he does it but not before he's made some cash.

Re: Derren Brown Apocalypse a fraud ?
I used to like Derren Brown as he seemed quid up front about what was and what wasn't a trick. Until the National Lottery stunt that is. I lost all respect for him after that.

It's all trick!!!!!
Like any magician the fun is trying to fathom how they did it.
There will, of course, be plants/ stooges involved, that's part of the game.

If that's the one I am thinking of, didn't they explain how the illusion was achieved immediately after it was?

The National Lottery one was the one where he claimed to use the phenomenon of 'wisdom of the crowd' to predict the lottery numbers. This is madness. It's one thing for a group of people to be more accurate than individuals in guessing, for instance, the weight of a cow, as their errors will cancel each other out. To suggest that the same phenomenon can be used to predict random number is madness.
I stopped watching Derren Brown after that.
