Now 8 weeks in to a contract with O2 after more years than l can remember with Vodafone , so much better and cheaper . Strange that it is now part of virgin and they offer Vodafone . Better deal than anything Virgin offered , stranger still !

"So much better" is always going to be subjective depending on the area you live in. O2 is awful in my area!

It's not strange at all that Virgin use Vodafone, they had signed a network agreement before the O2/VM merge happened so they have to honour the contract or most likely pay a huge penalty to get out of it!

OP, take a look at HUKD (https://www.hotukdeals.com/tag/sim-only) or Uswitch (https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/) for Sim Only deals.

I know, still strange that l got a far better deal using O2 . Virgin could / would not go near it. Just saying.
