What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
So, I'm about to go and get myself a full english breakfast.
What do you think belongs in the breakfast and what would you never have on the plate?
I need to have:
- Sausages
- Fried Eggs
- Baked Beans
- Black Pudding
- Fried Mushrooms
- Toast
Not a fan of the sloppy tomatoes you sometimes get and don't believe a hash brown is needed.
Definately a bit of ketchup on the side too.
What about you?

For me it'll be Sausage, Bacon, Fried Bread, Fried Eggs and Hash Brown and ketchup, i don't need anything else with that to make it perfect.

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
Bacon, sausage, fried or scrambled egg, mushrooms, hash brown. Then either toast (only with fried egg) or beans (if scrambled egg). Maybe a grilled tomato, depending on whether or not I'm hungover!
Ketchup for the bacon and brown sauce for sausages.

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
Sausages, fried eggs, bacon, fried mushrooms, fried bread, baked beans and canned tomatoes. Brown sauce all over and malt vinegar on the tomatoes. No hash browns ever, and black pudding only if it is lightly fried, not cremated.

A nice piece of steak. Maybe boerwors as the sausage certainly not the nasty Richmond things or their ilk. I don't mind curry for brekkies.

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
Never had steak for breakfast! Wow!
Completly forgot about bacon....Got to have a piece of bacon or two.
And if I can't have a full English Breakfast then a sausage and egg bap will do me nicely, but the egg has to be runny, none of this fried til it turns to plastic.
But a good full english sets me right up for the day ahead!

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
Back bacon, good quality pork sausages, scrambled/fried eggs, baked beans, potato scones, mushrooms, grilled tomato sliced in half, black pudding, with a couple of rounds of hot buttered toast and a pot of tea.
Then nothing until dinner time…

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
Bacon has to be smoked and dry-cured, sos at least 90% meat, eggs not overdone, black pud not overcooked. As before a small piece of steak is a great addition. Brown bread, beans - better home "baked" than just tinned, grilled tomatoes very nice, mushrooms in garlic butter. Oh and coffee for drink and fresh orange juice (with bits).

Re: What makes an awesome full english breakfast?
I love a cooked breakfast … the full Scottish version has a local delicacy called Lorne sausage, which is a square slice of beef sausage meat, unskinned. It is very difficult to cook well and doesn’t survive on a hotel breakfast buffet for any length of time because it’s prone to dry out, but when it is done well, and served fresh, it’s delicious. Needless to say my B&B always did it very well indeed.
Around here you can also get haggis prepared in a chub like a black pudding, so it can be sliced and fried in the same way. If I had to choose haggis or black pudding slice I’d usually go for the haggis, though I would take both if I could.
Bacon has to be unsmoked. Bread has to be fried. Add beans, a grilled tom and maybe a hash brown or two and we’re good to go. Put mushrooms anywhere within a yard of my plate and it’s a hanging offence.

Did not does? I was planning on visiting next year as well
I love every thing, with hash browns or chips and my Grandma used to make me something called bratkartoffein which was nice.
Oh yes don't like scrambled eggs because of something gross I did with them years ago
