Question Netgear router and Swann CCTV

I have just bought a Swann CCTV system with 4 cameras and trying to set it up.
Its not yet fully installed, but trying to figure out how things work before we drill any holes in the walls.
Swann CCTV HD box is connected to the TV presently. I have connected the back of the HD recorder box with a powerline plug and another one connected to the router.
My problem being Virgin do not have static IP address. So I have registered with Swann as per instructions and set up a Domain DNS.
My problem now is port forwarding. I can access the Netgear WGR614V9 router, but that's where I get stuck.
I know I have to open certain ports to allow access. But not sure how to do this. And what number port would I need to open.
Can anyone help? Simple instructions please.
Swann are closed today for enquiries.

Re: Netgear router and Swann CCTV

I have a similar setup. I use DynDNS to give me a domain name linked to my current IP. My router updates the details every 28 days.
I have been with Virgin for 3 years and my IP has never changed, however I leave my router on 24/7.
