I get about the same. Samknows only gives about 160 but they know there is a fault and have been looking into it for the past few weeks...

I sometimes find the browser can limit the result. If you try the desktop client you may find you get the full 550. That is what happens on my tablet - probably limited by CPU

I also have that fault. They haven't said much about the nature of the fault but my box hasn't worked properly since I got it a month or so ago

Re: 600mb tier rollout

My router has Speedtest built in, Samknows used to send me emails to confirm they were still looking into the problem but haven’t The Virgin engineer said he’d be happy if he could get high 200s. I’m getting low 200s.

My issue is also with Samknows as it is showing far less than Speedtest does!

Re: 600mb tier rollout

I just got 500Mb installed.

Are they rolling all customers onto the 600 eventually?

Thanks.

I think it is by the end of this month. Mine has just been recently upgraded during Feb (funnily enough got the email confirming it though this weekend)

I’m on Ultimate Oomph, 600Mb is available in my area but I haven’t been upgraded.

My 500 only gives up to 230 at best so I doubt if 600 will make much difference. Unfortunately there is no alternative around here.

The upgrade to 600 won't improve your wi-fi speed unfortunately

My wifi speed isn’t bad, it’s my wired speed I was talking about. When the engineer came out he said he’d be happy if he could get high 200s but failed to improve my speed.

How are you measuring the wire speed? What LAN card?
