You're only interested in tripping me up. Whether the person in question is mumbling in Urdu or Arabic (and prolly holding a copy of the Koran in his hand - I've seen it myself) is of little importance. To go over it again with greater clarity:
1. A person with a backpack on the Underground etc;
2. That person being bearded and evidently Pakistani, Arabic or some other Muslim affiliated origin;
3 That person mumbling something that might be in Arabic or Urdu.
Everyone else in this thread will have understood the minimum words I used to describe the issue. To remind, I said:

They used to wear backpacks on the London underground, long beards and mumbling in Arabic. Been a few years, though.

Re: Parliament to be recalled re: Taliban in Afghanistan
You weren’t outlining an issue, you were offering a stereotype of precisely the same sort that resulted in the Metropolitan Police executing a young, entirely innocent Brazilian man on the London Underground.

You're picking on a single word "issue". Everyone knows what I mean. On the occasion I described, I exited the tube carriage as soon as I could. As I said, this was some time ago.

You know, I’ve been known to read the Bible in public. It comes with the job in my case though plenty of people I know do it anyway. I hope you don’t likewise categorise them as dangerous religious nutters to be run away from…

You were specifically responding to a question - your response was inaccurate, and now you’re trying to move the goalposts by stating that anyone on the underground with dusky skin reading a book, wearing a backpack, and mumbling, is a potential terrorist?
Pointing out glaring inaccuracies in your statement is not "catching you out"…

Uncharacteristically for you, Chris, you're being silly.

Whatever. Nearly everyone else (Chris piped up on your side) knows exactly what I mean are rolling their eyes when you nit-pick like you are doing.

Re: Parliament to be recalled re: Taliban in Afghanistan
I think I know what you were driving at, and yes, I’m being silly but there’s a serious point behind it. I think you’re making generalisations that are unhelpful at best, and in extreme situations could be dangerous.

Re: Parliament to be recalled re: Taliban in Afghanistan
Hmm! I think this thread should be re titled as it's not got much to do with the heading at the moment.

No - the Taliban haven't changed.
Yes - the bumbling duo of Johnson and Biden have blood on their hands.
