NAS wirelessly

I've been thinking of late how useful an NAS would be, since I like ready access to the several hundred gigabytes of videos/music that I have stored on various hard drives. My thought came to do it wirelessly, which in itself isn't hard I guess. I have one question about wirelessly accessing said stuffs. I know it's not totally quick enough, but can it be done on the same SSID as the main internet router without needing to switch access points?

Re: NAS wirelessly

I have a NAS device - a Synology DS207. It has 2 x 1TB drives mirrored.

This is connected to my LAN using a wired connection to a GB switch.

I would'nt even try moving that about of data over a wireless connection in the first instance.
