Probably because they are being charged a fortune for the licenses to show them nowadays. The days of 20 or 30 years ago where there was no competition and prices were low is long gone.

Yes there are a great many older series that will probably never appear on TV anymore because of that.

There is supposed to be a B5 Movie in the works at somepoint. Haven't seen the group following for a while but last year there was talk about it.
Shame they couldn't do a Bluray version but most of the work was lost and they can't do the upscale without doing all the CGI again and there was a hell of a lot of it.
The beautiful thing about B5 and what makes it so amazing is the ensemble cast. There aren't really any lead actors; everyone plays a part and each character is so unique and crucial to the story.
Unfortunately, although his role was minor, another actor has passed away. I didn't realise at the time (November) and have just read it in SFX but Rance Howard who played Captain Sheridan's dad has passed away.
I own the series. Although I was lucky enough to see this when it first aired. Sky one have just about come to an end of showing the full series on a week day morning
