Unlock Nokia X6
Hi there,
I have bought a Nokia X6 off Ebay locked on Virgin. The item was listed as an unwanted upgrade.
I have an account and a Virgin number registered on Virgin website, as I understood you need one in order to get your phone unlocked. I even even made a 5 pound top up.
I can not call 789, as Virgin has no roaming in the country I'm residing, Republic of Moldova.
Also, just found out that the owner of the phone, dropped the contract with Virgin after some 3 months, and put the phone on Ebay.
Will the Virgin company unlock it , if it was bought from ebay, and the contract was dropped after 3 months ?
Thank you in advance

Re: Unlock Nokia X6
To save all the hassle of phoning customer services you are better off just looking for companies that can unlock the phone for you, probably £10 to £15 charged for the code and its sorted, all they need is your imei number think thats what it is and an email address, the serial number of the phone, under the battery or you can type in *#06# on keypad. You normally have to have at least a years contract with the company you are trying to leave so as you have no contract with virgin they will not unlock it hence just google a nokia unlock site, pay the money and your done.

Re: Unlock Nokia X6
If the customer has dropped the contract after 3 months the handset could be blacklisted as most mobile companies do this and is unable to be unlocked. Are you trying and the handset seems to be working normally and when you try to make a call and then you get beeps and the call is dropped?
Try here and check this out as NOKIA as they have the best system to stop them been unlocked again after blacklisting.

There are plenty of websites that provide unlocking codes for T-Mobile, Orange and Vodafone, but unfortunately none of them are able to provide codes for Virgin UK.

Re: Unlock Nokia X6
Hello again,
I finally manged to unlock my Nokia X6, locked on Virgin UK.
The unlocking code was provided by the Virgin Mobile itself after I have called the customer service and registered the phone on my name, provided all the details, and paid for the unlocking code the sum of 15 pounds from my credit card. After a few days they sent me a letter with the unlocking instructions to an UK address, but I didn't get it. After a couple of e-mails, I got another letter, and manged to unlock my phone.
p.s. I had a payg virgin number, a top up of 5 pounds, and an online account registered on my name on the virgin mobile website.
Good luck!
Regards from Moldova.
