Of course it is. It’s a completely manufactured event. It will drag on for months, if not years. They’ve effectively diced up 1no. misdemeanour offence into 30+, and then tried to dress it up as a felony, which even left leaning commentators in the US think is a stretch.
Trumps ratings are up. The cynic in you would think it’s been planned to up Trumps rating and guarantee he gets the nomination, because they want Trump to run, because they can beat him.
They don’t want an election against de Santis. At all costs.

Which is a tiny group of people, compared to just less than half of the U.S (Approx 150 Million) think it that it is a political witch hunt. Even people who venomously hate the man, those with Trump derangement syndrome, have said it’s a poor & weak indictment.

The civil trial decision must mean that de Santis will be who the Democrats are up against. The economy is currently booming thanks to Biden's policies so I doubt they will worry too much about de Santis.

They didn’t draw the line before and his behaviour wouldn’t have met their standards then. He’s the price they are willing to pay to get their agenda progressed.
I’m no Trump supporter, but there’s obvious defensive lines to this that his supporters will accept and his detractors will not.
