Best mesh system with virgin 3 router

I spent most of today with VM technical trying to get my wifi extender working, he had me jumping through so many hoops, restating, resetting etc without sucess, i was on with them for over 90 minutes, he finally said the he would speak to his colleagues and call me back within the next 2 hours with a fix..... what a crock of S***, as i had suspected he never rang me back, therefore i want to put in a mesh system and would like to know what you would recommend to work with my virgin 3 router. i will certainly NOT be giving virgin any more money for thier pods.

any help you can give would be helpful.

Re: Best mesh system with virgin 3 router

What package are you on? on Volt or iirc the 500meg plus you can get VM Mesh pods as the Hub 5 is Mesh enabled as it is.

Failing that I run a TPLink Mesh network with my Hub 4 a couple of years ago, the new WIFI 6 sets look very good and competitive. I backhauled my main node to my secondary upstairs so lost no speed at all

Re: Best mesh system with virgin 3 router

I ran an iMesh system via three old Asus routers connected around the house via ethernet. ( Virgin Router in modem-only mode) It worked better than using them as APs. (Virgin kit in Router Mode.)

I’ve been using BT Whole Home with my VM router for the last four years, with three discs.

Plugged the main disc into an Ethernet port on the router, turned off the VM wifi, and it all worked straight out of the box.

Re: Best mesh system with virgin 3 router

I went from Hub 5 to Hub 3 when I canceled my account and set up a new account in my wife's name. The Hub 3 is terrible for WiFi, I'm looking for the new Google nest WiFi 6 router which is on sale for Black Friday.
