wireless on your home pc

I am considering buying a wireless usb for my home pc ; the thing is I know which shops sell them, i'm just not sure which one to buy.
Any advice would be great.

Do you already have a wireless router at your house. Any wireless adaptor will need to be able to send and receive it's signals somehow.

For compatibility I'd stick to the same manufacturer as the router you have. You can then ensure any software enhancements or features match. For example Speedstep is an addon to some Linksys "g" wireless systems.
