Britain faces UN blacklist after lobbying by trans rights group
This should be fun!
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...ts-lobby-ehrc/
Quote:
Britain could be blacklisted at the UN’s human rights body over its defence of biological sex, The Telegraph can reveal.
The UK’s Equalities and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is facing a “special review” of its international accreditation after lobbying by trans rights groups led by Stonewall, the controversial LGBT charity.
The review could leave the EHRC stripped of its so-called “A status”, which means it would no longer have a place at the table of the UN Human Rights Council and other UN bodies.
|
So here we have the tail (Stonewall) wagging the dog (UK). Yet this might be a blessing in disguise.
Just imagine that the UK is actually blacklisted. That should release us from a whole load obligations in respect of the boats. Or have I missed something?
In any case, the government must not pander to Stonewall with this gender crap. At least Braverman has this right.

Ah, a negative story about Trans Rights in the Telegraph - how unusual...
Anyway, here is a pressreader (not behind a PayWall) which give the UK EHRC view on it (it's mostly rubbish, and we have an A status for the next five years).

People have woken up to the trans/ gender ideology nonsense.
Treat it with the contempt it deserves.

You're absolutely right - it's just fake culture war bolleaux promoted by the right-wing press to inflame passions...

No idea what that is, but you’re welcome to your opinion. Have you been drinking on a Tuesday?

So this sort of thing couldn't happen?

A college chaplain who worked at the University of Cambridge has launched legal action against a £40,000-per-year school after it sacked him and referred him to counter-terror police over a sermon in which he questioned new LGBT+ policies.
The Reverend Dr Bernard Randall told pupils at Trent College they were allowed to question LGBT+ issues in the same way as they did Brexit, and claimed telling students they must accept them was akin to saying they 'must be Muslim'.
