M500 with Volt boosted to Gig1 going at M500 speeds

I'm on m500, volt boosted to gig1.

My config on the SH4 shows as Gig1 as expected

Code:
SFID 29957
Max Traffic Rate 1200000450
Max Traffic Burst 42600
Min Traffic Rate 0
But my downloads cap out at "m500 speeds":

Any thoughts?

Are you in router mode? If so try www.samknows.com/realspeed

It'll show if it's a problem to the Hub or a limitation of your home network setup.

Speedtest.net is only testing the connection between them and the device you're running it on.

that's not even 500mbit speeds because my speed tests always came out at 578mbits. Have you tried changing which server you run the test from? I think by default speedtest.net chooses the closest server but it isn't always the best. Since I upgraded to 1gbit I have found that there are very few test servers which can support 1gbit and there is a particular one in Sheffield (IDAQ) which can do it and provides very consistent results.

Re: M500 with Volt boosted to Gig1 going at M500 speeds

It's not in router mode, it's a Mikrotik router doing round robin load balancing, then connecting to a UDMP over 10G, connected to my PC via a 10G switch.

It has previously worked at 140Mbytes/sec or so for steam downloads, with the same setup.

rebooting SH4 seems to have mostly fixed it.

I am paying £36 a month for it actually.

I'd be far away from VM if I had another option, but for me it's 1100/55 from VM or 60/16 from fttc.

Hope Cityfibre hurry up.
