Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Personally I think this will be Man U's year, at least in the Premiership. I cant see Chelsea outscoring them, and by the timne Arsenal find any consistency the gap wll be too great. There are still more points to be dropped, and I feel its Arsenal and Chelsea and Liverpool that will be dropping more than Man U.

As long as Utd can avoid injuries. The depth in some areas is worringly thin.

You could say the same with Chelsea tho, 2 out and out strikers (of which one is firing blanks), essien to play as a ceentre back as cover for Terry?, robben, cole, and SWP on the wings - one injury and thats that part of the park looking thin too.
I don't like Man U but I like arsenal even less, and as for liverpool, arrrggghhhh! If chelsea are gonna lose the title this season, i'd like them to lose it to Man U.

I missed it, bloody work, however me old mum told me that it looked like Alan was almost in Wenger's face screaming yes when we scored, however as you say this win could have kept him in a job and Sven out of one so perhaps the celebration was justified after all.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
What I saw was Pardew jumping up and down (and justifiably so) and then going over to shake Wengers hand. After all the goal was scored in the 90th minute, so Im sre he thought its came over.
Wenger reacted by swearing(thats what it looked like on the footage).
Apparently Pardew offered him a drink after the game too, which Wenger declined. What a idiot, his attitude's one of the main reasons why I don't like Arsenal much nowadays.

Kalou can play up front. Boulahrouz can play CB with Ferreira at RB.
Still better depth that Fletcher, O'Shea, Richardson!

Think this one is apt after the weekend..

Pardew was no-where near Whinger when he celebrated.

I wonder why Alan is apologising then, if you look at the comments a couple even say he went into the away teams technical area and screamed in Wenger's face! For me the real shame is that instead of gaining confidence from a great win the club has yet more controversy to deal with.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
I don't see why Alan should apologise at all. The man at fault is Wenger. At least when Mourinho moans we can have a laugh about it, but mr wenger really needs to grow up.

What exactly does Wenger do wrong in that clip? I saw nothing from him other than him pushing Alan away when he walked right up to Wenger to get as close as possible whilst winding him up...

Agreed - Alan Pardew goes into the Arsenal management area.

He wasn't in shot, that's why you couldn't see - he was berating Pardew for celebrating, which is then when Pardew walked up to him and asked 'What?!'
Whinger just topped it all off by refusing to shake hands after the match. He really is the most terrible sore loser and bad sport. His frustration should go to his very lack lustre team, not the opposing manager....
