Hub Replacement

I had a faulty Hub 5 replaced during the week but my Virgin connect app cannot connect to the hub. It keeps telling me to reinstall the hub but it still won't work. Is this a common problem?

By the way, the technican mentioned that there is a new updated Hub 5 coming out soon called Superhub 5X.

Looks like you may well be right! - Looks like reference to it in their recent T's and C's!

As an aside, I've never had much luck with the app - But I did once have to log out, reinstall and re-login before anything was visible. Perhaps it keeps a cached backup of what hub it previously linked-up with...

Re: Hub Replacement

Very flaky these new hubs. My sh 2ac is rock solid and gives me more than I pay for.

So does every hub if the connection is not over subscribed, if you check your config out.

Had a VM engineer out today, he noticed I had a fibre connection into the house and I explained I was on a fibre trial a while back and he mentioned that morning he had fitted a 5x superhub which were fibre straight in, no coax so I guess that is what the 5x is, fibre to the hub.
