Silent Night always reminds me of Christmas Eve in particular.
Classic FM is already playing lots of different variations of wonderful festive music, alongside their usual playlist. Do check it out if you want a seasonal mix of Christmas favourites intermixed with non festive music. .

Given that this isn't a Christmas carol, I've started a new topic for people to state their favourite Christmas song, using your posting as my inspiration to start off that topic.
This is akin to choosing Die Hard as a favourite Christmas film.

Might be worth starting much a topic. And I'd agree that it's far easier to select a favourite Christmas carol (or two as I'm not sure which is my favourite from my top two) in this topic of a favourite piece of Christmas music which is not a Christmas carol in the topic I started a few minutes ago.
I thought I'd give this a bump up as we are well into the run-up to the festive season.
Interestingly Classic FM started playing Christmas music before 1st December this year.
Being a Ukraine supporter it would have to be this one.
"Carol of the Bells" is a popular Christmas carol composed by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914. The song is based on a Ukrainian folk chant called " Shchedryk " ("generous"}.
The music to “Carol of the Bells” was taken from the original Ukrainian song written by Mykola Leontovych while the English-language lyrics were written by Peter Wilhousky.
