Urgent Help Please!

Hiya, I've had a Belkin G+ Mimo router for about 2 months now with the new virgin media 10mbps connection. Everything was going smoothy until today when my speed suddenly gave way to less than dialup.

I've now tried hard wiring connection to my router which fixes the problem and brings it up to speed, but whenever I connect wirelessly via my laptop card the speeds are ridiculous. Normally when I download a file i get easily 120kbps and now I'm struggling to get 5 when wireless!

Can someone please help with this problem? Thanks a lot.

Re: Urgent Help Please!

You might try a different channel on your wireless? Possibly someone near you has just setup their own network and is causing you interference?

You do have your wireless secured so that nobody near you is able to piggy back over your connection don't you?

Yeh I have it passwod potected, however, when I woke up this morning I found my speed was back to normal. Quite strange, although I hope it doesn't happen again.

Re: Urgent Help Please!

If it was a new router in the neighbourhood he may have had the same problem and changed channels himself.
