I haven't upgraded to it yet to be able to confirm this via the router's admin pages though.

Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
I've just upgraded to build 14573 and all the lights on the front are now green and work like normal and the side light is off.

I'm having the same issue as I was with most builds before the recommended one, 14311, was released, where I have to click links more than once for them to work. If this persists I'll revert to 14311 with a 30/30/30 reset. I knew I shouldn't have changed it, but the light fix was too tempting.

Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
Out of curiousity, do VM mind you using this firmware?
I notice when using the factory firmware that VM provide, the router slowly becomes more and more unresponsive as time goes by, needing a reset every two weeks or less
That doesn't happen with the DD-WRT firmware.

The router was working as expected yesterday, so I shall keep using 14537 for now.

Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
mjpartyboy, yeah it seems when flashing the router runs a bit off initially but after a day or so runs better. This build I am on is fine also, but I will probably upgrade since the newer one fixes the led's.

What they dont know doesnt matter, obviously tho if you ring tech support and its a router related problem they wont support this firmware. If that is something that bothers you then dont flash it.

Each new build of DD-WRT seems to be getting more stable, but they do recommended doing a 30/30/30 reset before and after every firmware upgrade.

they do but thats too long winded.
I cant see how thats much different to choosing the option on flash to bootup using defaults.

I agree, but it ensures the NVRAM is wiped clean and the upgrade is clean. Not all the builds have the same options as things get added or taken away.
The router is having issues with MS sites tonight, like Hotmail and Xbox.com.

I am on the 14537 build now, I did go to the newer one first but has some important stuff missing of the status page.
