Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
I'll install the new build tonight.
Edit: On second thought, I think I'll give it a few days in case this one gets pulled too. There has been a few broken releases in the last few weeks.

Have 2 of these routers, they do need a lot of manually rebooting, at least once per week. Hoping this build fixes that also.

Hi,
First post
Anyway I usually use tomato or dd-wrt in all my routers. The guide that started this thread is excellent.
A couple of things to note though.
You should always have the router re-boot, prefferably at a time when you are asleep. I set mine for 7AM EVERY DAY!
More importantly, the links are somewhat outdated in the original post. The version of DD-WRT ending in d i.e. "dir615d-ddwrt-webflash.bin" covers D2 as well as Virgins D4.
Hope this helps, and please keep testing.

Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
I'm using R15506.
I've been using it this week and it appears to be stable. I haven't tried all functions yet though, but it works well as a standard router.

Who is your ISP?
Have you done the 30/30/30 reset and set to default in the firmware before using it?
I'm currently getting 20Mbit using this version and hard wired.

Re: [GUIDE] Dir-615 to dd-wrt
Ive been running 15506 for about a week, no issues. I have found that setting it to reboot once a day [7am in my case] helps stability with any version.

That's what I do too. Worth doing especially if you happen to download or torrent as DD-WRT has more open ports (4096)that can stay alive for quite some time.

You can adjust the TCP and UDP timeout interval in the Administration tab.
