Sky Sports Lite for £15.00 per month.

Quote:
Imagine Sky Sports launched a ‘Light’ package that contained all the Sky Sports channels except Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports F1. It would include all the action from the

English Football League, SPFL, WSL, English Cricket, Golf, Rugby League, NFL, Tennis, Darts, and more.

Sky Sports ‘Light’ would be available for
£15 per month, and can be cancelled at
any time. It would be available via Sky TV

(in addition to the £25 per month
Entertainment package), Virgin Media TV,
and NOW

All other available Sky Sports packages would be unaffected by this launch.

We now want to understand if this new

package would affect your decision

regarding whether or not to subscribe to

Sky Sports. Please answer the following

questions as if the Sky Sports ‘Light’

package launches tomorrow.

Sky are putting the feelers out to gauge whether offering Sky Sports without F1 & Premier League for £15.00 would be a useful addition to their offering.

Some would downgrade to save money, whilst others may be tempted to subscribe.

If this were to be offered, would you be interested?

Quote:
Assume this new package launches tomorrow. How likely is it you would still be subscribing to any Sky Sports or NOW Sports package, through any platform in 12 months' time?

What would you most likely do with your NOW Sports subscription in the next 12 months, given this new information?

Re: Sky Sports Lite for £19.99 per month.

If you time it right you can get the whole lot for £20 on Now, which is an offer that comes up multiple times per year.

True. If this comes to fruition I wonder if
they'll increase their Now prices both to stop people using Now offers as an alternative and to try and recoup any lost income from those downgrading from their current package because they aren't bothered about losing PL & F1 coverage??

To work there'd have to be a decent number of new subscribers to the new package.

Re: Sky Sports Lite for £19.99 per month.

I doubt there will be a decent number of “additional” subscribers that aren’t already caputured within Sky, Virgin or Now’s offers that come up from time to time.

Re: Sky Sports Lite for £15.00 per month.

This is the first time that I have ever come across a poll where 100% of respondents voted unanimously (No).

If this is reflected by the general population then this idea definitely won't be going ahead!
