It's ok by me so long as it doesn't cost more.

It doesn't matter to me either, providing we don't have this silly idea of not having Relegation and Promotions in the top tier of football.

The article is all just if, buts and maybes. It's nothing but speculation. The only quote in the whole article from someone at Al Jazeera reads:
"Osama Saeed, the head of media and international relations at Al Jazeera, last night declined to comment on ‘that kind of speculation'."
I'll tell you what has happened here. One lazy journalist has turned to another and said something along the lines of "Do you think Al Jazeera could outbid SKY?" Before you know it a story is born.
I'll tell you who will be screening the Premier League in the UK once the current deal expired in 2013, SKY and ESPN again.

This sort of 'competition' just results in more easy money for the clubs(ie players) and higher costs for the viewers.

You are right. Of course if there is any truth in the story you might find that Premiership football will be on SKY sports, ESPN and Al Jazeera! You'll need 3 separate subscriptions to watch all the action.

Sky Sports would surely fold should they take all Premier League football from them. It would be nice to see who has 'all 5 Sky Sports channels in HD' then.

I love your positive views on Sky James , Sky Sports folding can you really see that The only way this will end up is with us the customers paying more , imagine a scenario of Sky having 3 out of the 6 packs , Al Jazeera having 2 and ESPN having 1 , it would cost a small fortune.

I'd probably go to Sly if that happened, ESPN shows so little football as it is now so any less and the deal with VM becomes worthless.

I'm sure if the games were split evenly between broadcasters, ESPN would show more footy
