You don't tend to turn right on motorways, they're just dicks

I'm thinking particularly of the dicks on the M25, A13 and M11 that were particularly hoggy for mile after mile last Thursday and Friday, none of which were turning right although at several points I would have liked them to, straight into the crash barrier

Hope you pay more attention when cycling, this is my moan not Sephiroth's although for the record I agree with him, mostly inconsiderate dicks who think the rules don't apply to them just like the hoggers

Perhaps you mean they should pay VED? Which would be interesting as it’s engine size/emissions based…. Also VED goes straight to the general treasury and isn’t used directly toward the maintenance/upkeep of highways
|
Maybe never explained properly, but they should pay something as they could cause lots of accidents ,

Bad drivers cause a hell of a lot more accidents than bad cyclists but yeah maybe some sort of insurance but it should not be a lot imo

Many cyclists do have third party insurance. It's included in the membership of British Cycling and Cycling UK, in bike-specific insurance policies (mainly used to cover theft), and if taking part in any organised cycling event. It is very cheap because the risk is so low.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I suggest that's enough about cyclists and drivers. Time to move on.

Yeah I thought it would be.
Whereas 131,220 casualties of all severities in the year ending June 2020 of which 1580 ended in death but its cyclist that are the scourge. Bare in mind 3 months of these figures the country was in lockdown
As I said before as a passenger I have seen a hell of a lot of bad driving. I am a bad driver I get distracted so I made the choice not to drive but I do cycle and I come across a lot of bad drivers doing that also

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Another pet hate of mine are people who smoke in public. Apart from the disgusting way most of them discard their butts, they stand in restaurant doorways so that the smoke blows in - and always to where I'm sitting.
Another another pet hate of mine are people, usually Lib-Dem Remainers, who peel oranges on the commuting train. That smell pervades the carriage for the duration of the journey.
And that damn, poxy, Peloton advert (mentioned in the Ads thread.

With you on the smoking one. I stopped smoking 30 years ago after being quite a heavy smoker and I detest the smell now
