Looks fab with those 'tetris' style intakes, I like to see something different. Compare it to the Merc and they are both totally different.

The new McLaren really does look nice, up there with the nicest, let`s hope it`s as quick as it looks good.
Looks like most teams have gone for the high nose with long drop downs to the front wing and most cars look like duck billed platypus
Reckon the Renault could be a quick car, apparently they have some trick which creates a blown diffuser effect, don`t know if it`s true or not!
Seriously looking forward to the season now...

Re: F1 2010/11 closed/pre season discussion
bad news and hope he is ok. Fair play to him for not just sitting on his money, but actually going out racing when he didn't have to.
He's a classy driving and if the Renault was any good this season he would have been right up there

Good read, thanks for that
Speedy recovery for Kubica as well, sounds like a nasty crash!

Sound like Kubica's F1 career has ended
Quote:
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but following surgery in 2003 after a serious road accident as a passenger that left him with titanium bolts in his arm, there will be doubts about his ability to continue in the sport.

Sad really when a few years ago he walked away from a crash in F1 that a few years ago would have been fatal.

I bet Jerome D'Ambrosio is kicking himself as he could have inherited Kubica's seat instead of the Virgin

Re: F1 2010/11 closed/pre season discussion
latest news from Renault(Lotus) is that they are hoping Kubica will be back after the first few races. Sounding more positive that it was earlier today.
Looks like Bruno Senna will start the season according to autosport.
Maybe this will be his chance.........
If he is beaten by Petrov then I think its curtains for his F1 career.
Best wishes to Robert............

Re: F1 2010/11 closed/pre season discussion
I dont see any way he'll be back this season or ever at all, Talking about a severed hand and depending on what functions he has in his hand it does not sound good given the sport he is in. Shame really but a blessing considering the state of that car, Could have been fatal.

Yeah I think the situation is clearer today, from what I have read the doctors will need a few more day to confirm if he will be able to keep his hand. This is MUCH worse than it seemed early last night.
Best wishes Robert.

Re: F1 2010/11 closed/pre season discussion
Renault are quoting out for two months, looks like the hand has gone through surgery OK with a good blood supply now it's just waiting to see if there's been major nerve damage or not.. Sounds like he was lucky..

Re: F1 2010/11 closed/pre season discussion
You have to ask if it was prudent to be competing in such a high risk sport when all focus should be on the season ahead which has commenced already.
I know Renault agree it was ok and he uses rallying to hone his driving skills but with the pre-season testing underway and with the simulators available to hand I personally would want him on the job so to speak.
