It also says you're firewalled. Do you get a connection when switching your firewall off? If so, you will need to tell your firewall about this connection.

right click the ethernet network then goto status then support
is there an ip address showing if its just blank with no writing your modem might need resetting

IIRC, he is using Be. The BeBox router (actually a Speedtouch 780 modem/router) doesn't need rebooting when a new device is plugged in.
