There is no piggy bank. The country's been in debt ever since William III's time and is getting close to GDP although it has been far worse in the last century.

Re: New Prime Minister: Liz Truss
In terms of victories, they often are cited as the most successful political party in the world. Not sure how that is measured but they are ruthlessly efficient at winning elections.

Indeed they are but given the bleak economic conditions for the forseeable future and the deeply precarious state of the NHS the omens are not looking too good for a fifth term in office.

As well as successful at appointing now 3 Women Prime Ministers, Labour haven’t had one yet.

Probably also hold the most general elections of any party in the world.
I seem to remember elections in 2015, 2017 and 2019!

Re: New Prime Minister: Liz Truss
They have held 3 in 12 years, hardly a world record.

Re: New Prime Minister: Liz Truss
More poor polling figures for the new prime minister Liz Truss.
Quote:
Asked in the immediate aftermath of the result, 50% of Britons say they are disappointed that she is to be the next prime minister, including a third (33%) who are ‘very disappointed’. This is considerably more than the 22% who say they are very or fairly pleased.
