Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Worried about my lad (even though he's 26).
He's just moved to NZ for a year, after 2 years in Oz, and he was in South Island where Typhoon Gita hit over the last few days. They've declared a State of Emergency in the region where he is (Nelson).
I'm sure he's fine, but we just haven't heard from him for a few days (which happens frequently, as he goes camping with his mates), but not being sure isn't fun.

Doesn't matter the age - you never stop worrying about your kids.
Hopefully you'll hear from him shortly.

l hope and pray that contact is made soon Hugh as l suspect lines of communication will be pretty poor at the moment given the Typhoon aftermath and the State of Emergency.

Hugh no matter the age of your children, they’ll always be little in your mind.
I hope you manage to contact your lad soon but as den has stated lines of communication will be pretty poor at the moment.

Hope you don't have to wait to much longer to hear, they're a constant worry no matter how old they get especially when you can't keep an eye on them

we got a message at 3.36 this morning - he’s fine.
They were blocked in by landslides, but a local farmer cleared the road.
My son said the winds were a bit ‘interesting’ at times, but all’s well that ends well - another experience for him.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

Playing catch up and so glad that your son is safe and well Hugh.
Our son was caught up in the Manchester IRA bomb attack and not knowing whether he was safe was a nightmare so I really know what you must have been going through.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Well, work was a disaster last night. Facing a disciplinary next week potentially. Oh dear. I won't go into details, apart from saying I am being blamed for equipment being broken when it wasn't me who broke it.

Don't let them blame you for something you did not do Mark as you must stand your ground next week and make it clear that you did not break the equipment.
