Nope !
That's a misconception, Man U were already down regardless of what happened in that game, because results went against us.

So if Platini gets elected it looks like the Big Four will become the Big Three.

Personally i think that is a good idea, it supposed to be the 'Champions' league not the champions plus a few others league.
He also wants to introduce another two linesman to each match making the total four which i cannot see working because what happens if they disagree over a decision?
I think Johansson has the better ideas such as having salary caps and limiting the number of foreign players in a team to 3, which would screw Arsenal over totally

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
just to say there is only one King and that is Denis Law
not sure how it would work but i've said before in a game with as much money involved as football it is a bit stupid that we only have 2 linesmen
not sure if they could bring that in as wouldn't the IFAB have to authorise a change in the laws
nice to see someone stand up against the G14 too

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
well done to him i think some of what he said has been very good although it remains to be seen how much power he will actually have
i thought the president was just a title role and most of the power was with Olsen the CEO

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
Two ridiculous decisions today in the match between United and Portsmouth, there seems to be more and more poor decisions about ball's being over the goal line so maybe it's time for technology to be used. Luckily they didn't affect the outcome of the game thanks to Rooney with a Cantona-esque goal
