Oh that defence was awful. So annoyed, I seriously think we should have taken all 3 points. 4 - 3 up in the 89th minute? The defence STILL manages to waste it? If I was Arshavin I would so angry at that
But our real defence will be back soon and hopefully in the summer we will improve our backline.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Watching Gerrard squirm on sky sports post match was priceless, a point gained rather than two points dropped Stevie? Yeah, right

Anywhere showing highlights? Feel gutted to have missed it! 4 goals conceded at Anfield is a sight never to be missed!

Yeah, I loved how he kept repeating 'how important that point might be'. You could tell in his face he knew the league was lost.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I was listening to the 2nd half on the radio, in a poor reception area. Can anyone tell me why we had 5 mins of extra time? Was it just to make sure liverpool have a chance to score?

I would have thought there being six goals in the second half before injury time would have meant a fair bit of time added on. But the ref actually played over six minutes of injury, that was to make sure Liverpool had a chance to get a winner

Re: Football : Season 08/09
You know all the Liverpool supporters who say United always get extra time at home to score....notice they're a bit thin on the ground today?

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I wish I could have watched it, looks like it was an amazing match.
If there was no reason for the 6 minutes or extra time, it shouldn't have been added. Maybe the ref wanted Liverpool to win, who knows. He should be disciplined anyway, as should any ref who adds long periods of extra time for no reason. But like that's going to happen.
It sounds like Ashavin caused havoc in Liverpools defence.

Bodes well for other teams then, if Liverpool are creaking at the last fences!
