Re: UKIP has (had) a new leader
UKIP's new leader's girlfriend doesn't seem to be holding back from her social media rants. Move over Trump!
Quote:
Ukip leader Henry Bolton’s new model girlfriend branded Grenfell Tower a “nest of illegal immigrants” and labelled alleged victims of Harvey Weinstein “hard done by little rich girls”.

Re: UKIP has (had) a new leader
Could UKIP have yet another leader?
Quote:
Ukip’s leader, Henry Bolton, has unanimously lost a vote of confidence from the party’s national executive committee, plunging it into renewed chaos and potentially a fourth leadership election in just 16 months.

Re: UKIP has (had) a new leader
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/n...arty-vmx8573lg (behind paywall)
Quote:
Nigel Farage is in talks about returning to frontline British politics with the launch of a new pro-Brexit movement if Ukip’s leader Henry Bolton is forced to resign.
Farage has spoken to friends, including his financial backer Arron Banks, about forming a breakaway party if Bolton, 54, loses a vote of confidence today at a special meeting of Ukip’s national executive committee.
Banks and Farage met for dinner to discuss the plans on January 11, only a few days after the committee began an investigation into Bolton’s private life. ..
...Farage has said there is “no chance” he will return as Ukip leader. But he has been invited to become president of the new movement, with Banks lined up to be its chairman. Richard Tice, a property developer and co-chairman of the Leave Means Leave campaign group, is also expected to be offered a role.
A source close to Farage said: “Nigel has always said he would be prepared to don khaki and head back to the front line if there is any chance Brexit will not be delivered and that now looks like a very real threat.”
It is understood that an announcement on the new movement, which does not yet have a name, could be made as soon as this week if Ukip loses its fourth leader in 16 months. The organisation is expected to be modelled on the structure of the Conservative Party with local associations around the country to give the movement a reach that Ukip lacks. Focus groups have been convened to determine what kinds of policies will appeal.

Re: UKIP has (had) a new leader

Quote:
Margot Parker has resigned as UKIP deputy leader and called for Henry Bolton to step down as leader.
The resignation came after the party's national executive committee backed a vote of no confidence.
Mr Bolton has left the party in "limbo" and he should go "sooner rather than later", she told BBC Radio Northampton.
The party's immigration spokesman, John Bickley, has also now quit his role. Mr Bolton has been under fire over texts sent by his former girlfriend.

Beginning to sound like a comedy drama now.
