I once (on a night out) had a very drunk man come up to me, convinced I was Mick Hucknall... in the end I just gave up, did him an autograph, shook his hand, and told him that it was always a pleasure to meet a fan.

Had my first experience today of an amazon locker. It was pleasantly painless (other than trying to get 5 packages back to the carpark )

We've had dinner, and got quite 'relaxed' - I didn't think you resembled Mick Hucknall*...
*Mick McManus, perhaps

That's good news Osem.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Further to my post in the moans thread yesterday, after being able to prove in the end that I deposited £70 into my account it corrected itself this morning. They were full of apologies about what had happened. I've asked that they look at this so it doesn't happen again which they agreed to.
Had it affected Direct Debits due out before Christmas then I would have pushed for a goodwill gesture of compensation but as it stands I am not out of pocket anything and DD's got paid so I will just accept their apology and hope they can find what happened so it doesn't happen again.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
The people in London who travel on the London Underground.
I'll explain.
Yesterday I needed to get my mum to the UCLH in central London.
The only way was by tube, and as she can't walk to far (she was bed bound for 4 months, 3 were Nil By Mouth) so we had to use a wheelchair.
The guard at Epping asked if we needed help at our destination station, I said thanks but it would not be required.
We got to Tottenham Court Road Tube and a I was help off the tube. we got to the 1st of 3 sets of stairs which my mum walked up with me behind with the folded wheelchair a guy offered help, but I said I was OK, as I was walking up he was walking near me I then felt someone just lift the end of the chair.
Even on the escalators the guard asked we needed help.
The only thing I had issues with was the gap & height differences between train and platform.

That is nice.
I was supposed to be going to London today with Natalie and her mum - but I must admit I didn't think I could cope with it all in the chair.

I feel that if you can walk up some stairs or stand, while someone handled your chair you should be OK.
