Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
OMG...starring Dwayne Johnson and, of late, cameo specialist Bruce Willis. Not very inspiring.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
It actually looks really good. 95% of the stuff that made the last movie awful have been removed.... with the exception of Channing Tatum!
Dwayne Johnson is actually a good actor and stole the show in Fast 5.
Deffo giving this a place in my list for stuff to catch next year.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
It can't be as bad as Ghost Rider... which is also getting a sequel

Not seen this mentioned anywhere, but Lost Girl has been renewed for a 3rd Season already. Only 13 eps so far (but it could get the extra 9, like this year).

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
Yeah, I saw that the other day
IIRC, when it was renewed for a second season this time last year it was only for 13 episodes, and only received the back nine order this summer.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
Ah, that would explain why I can't see the last episode on the calender I use.

This one looks like it could be good.
Touch (TV Series 2012)
No idea when it might be on over here though.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
Too much movie snobbery around nowadays, everybody likes to think they work for Empire.
GI. Joe was good fun and didn't take itself seriously. Sometimes people don't care about characterisation, layered story telling and plot.
Sometime we just want to watch something fun and entertaining for 90mins. A fact that too many film critics ( can there be an easier job?) sometimes forget.

Absolutely, I generally ignore "critics".
Its usually a good rule that if they hate it, I'll probably like it, if they rave about it, its probably going to bore me to death.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
New canadian Science Fiction show called Continuum starts on May 27th in the states starring Rachel Nichols.. Seems to be a time travel (future to the present) cop sort of show.

I added that to my calender earlier, sounds like it could be good.

That looks like a reasonable worth pursuing series.
