At the moment it's:

"Hodgson for Ingerlund!"

and

"Dalglish!"

Just waiting for "yer getting sacked in the morning" from the Wolves fans

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

I think that Hodgson times at Liverpool are nearly over, Liverpool need a tougher manager.

The Players are to blame for the performance on the pitch, But its the manager job to make sure they perform, He should have the guts to drop players who are not playing well, Liverpool are a great club and need a big manager, like Allydyce.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

Kinda disappointed about Arsenal's result at Wigan. Should have mixed a few more key players in and had a proper left back.

Wenger tinkered with the team to much, as does Fergie on numerous occasions

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

A man of honour and integrity would have walked by now but looks like he'll be holding out for the "mutual consent" wedge. Understandable I guess as he's now proven damaged goods and more use as a can of dog food than as a football manager.

Unfortunately for uncle Roy is next career move will either be pointing people in the direction of the toilet fittings at B&Q or as a low-grade match summariser blabbing utter nonsense like David "Mr Punch" Pleat.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

Wonder if Hodgson has brought himself some time with todays result. Beating Bolton isn't too shabby this season, but Liverpool's performance left a lot to be desired according to match reports and the highlights I saw.

Great result for Arsenal, 3 - 0 at St Andrews. Usually a horrible place for Arsenal to go too and they played a physical game, and lofted balls into the box but Arsenal dealt well with both approaches. Considering this is only the second time they have lost a home game since September 09 I am happy .

I don't think today's result changes anything in terms of Hodgson's position, he's as good as gone, it's just a matter of when the board feel that they're in a position to appoint a long-term replacement to introduce some stability. This half-way point in the season is as good a time as any to do so but that's purely dependent on the right candidate being available. As for the match: despite the result the overall performance still left a lot to be desired. The lack of confidence was still glaringly apparent but at least there was some intelligent movement off the ball to create space and Bolton eventually tired after their initial spell of pressing play. Bolton are ultimately a poor side and some would say they got what was coming to them. Credit to Owen Coyle though for achieving what he has done up to now with the limited resources available to him, he's surely a young manager some of the bigger clubs will be keeping an eye on.

Re: Football Season 2010/2011

And now lots of noises (Telegraph, Mirror and other rumours) that Kenny Dalglish is posed to take over as caretaker following the imminent removal of Hodgson. Noticed that a Gulfstream from Hyannis MA arrived at John Lennon Airport at 10:30 yesterday evening. Not John Henry's but no doubt one of the owners'.

Arsenal aren't exactly fairies, although they try to make out they aren't physical.
Can't believe Chelsea are losing at home to Aston Villa, what a season this is going to be for neutrals.
