If Sky Sports loses WWE I'm not sure what I'll do with all those spare hours.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Reports of the imminent demise of Eleven Sports in the UK seem to have been premature.
https://www.broadbandtvnews.com/2019...nd-android-tv/
Eleven Sports is launching apps on Amazon Fire TV Stick and Android TVs in the UK and Ireland.
Viewers can already watch Eleven Sports on TV via Google Chromecast, and the new apps are now available to download for Amazon Fire TV Stick and Android TVs, with apps for Samsung Smart TVs coming soon.
The user interface for each app is optimised specifically for TV and the action will be available in HD 1080p.
Still an uphill struggle for them to reach a larger audience, though.

Unless they sign carriage deals with Sky , BT Sport and Virgin they are doomed in the UK.

I don't think getting onto the fire stick is really going to change things somehow. If you're desperate to watch La Liga i'd imagine you'd have signed up already by now rather than waiting for it to appear on an amazon stick.
I think this is possibly the last throw of the dice, spending money and hoping to get more subscribers

It'd be too difficult to split the network to show raw and smackdown live on the network. WWE have signed new contracts with USA and the big one with FOX for the next few years. As seen with WWE Mainevent they can't black out the network for various countries.
I think BT sport are cutting back on spending and i can't see WWE going to premier sports etc. Unless a move out of nowhere comes like ITV i can't see anything but sky sports

The lineal heavyweight champion of the world tied to ESPN and all it’s clout should get some decent fights made in the coming years for Tyson.

And yet here's you selling to everyone how all these apps are going to sell direct to the consumer and how it will be a roaring success and cheaper for us all.
What makes you think this uphill struggle won't be the same for each TV content provider trying to go it alone with a streaming product.

Well, they will struggle when the most popular sports are shown on Sky and BT. The real shift will come when they achieve success in bidding against them for the more popular sporting events.
Of course, Sky already provide a streaming service via Now TV, and I expect that BT will do so as well before long.

And of course in the USA they already have ESPN+ where Disney are trying to retail some content direct to subscribers in addition to the content provided to 80 million or so indirect subscribers.
The future looks far more like my description of more ways to consume the same thing than an upstart revolution changing the way we subscribe to or consume television.

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
Sky Cinema is increasing by £1 from £10 to £11 - Price rise doesn't apply to those still in a contract
Sky Sports remains the same price as it is now
Prices increase from 1st April 2019

Not on Sky Den as the terms stipulate one increase per 12 months if they were going to increase it they'd have done it now.

You don't get the rise if you're in contract
