Should have copied the page it had a driver, or three for each letter from A (Alonso) to V(Villenueve). D'oh Thanks Kymmy V Was Verstappen
Good luck to Fisi and to Liuzzi who is tipped fro the Force India drive.
Let hope Massa is back on the grid next year.

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Oh the joys of Googles cache
Quote:
Waiting list
It might not be the best season for the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, but the possibility to drive one of the Reds must be very appetising, at least when one considers the number of drivers, who have been brought up by the media and the fans and even by some of the drivers themselves as candidates for Felipe Massa’s F60 number 3, without even considering some suggestions from the afterworld…
The list is so long that almost every letter in the alphabet has a corresponding driver…but let’s see the details:
A as in Fernando Alonso
B as in Jules Bianchi, Mirko Bortolotti and Sebastien Bourdais
C as in David Coulthard
D as in Anthony Davidson
F as in Giancarlo Fisichella and Luca Filippi
G as in Marc Gené
H as in Nico Hulkenberg
K as in Robert Kubica
L as in André Lotterer and Vitantonio Liuzzi
P as in Nelson Piquet (Jr.) and Giorgio Pantano
R as in Valentino Rossi and Davide Rigon
S as in Takuma Sato and Bruno Senna
T as in Jarno Trulli
V as in Jos Verstappen
Before anyone feels offended we want to underline that we have the highest respect for all of these drivers and we apologise also in the name of those who brought up their names to those who haven’t been mentioned, like Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button, but there’s always time for some fresh ideas.

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
looks like Liuzzi will get the Force India seat. Wonder how Fisi will do, when he is good he is great but he doesn't have his day of days very often.
With him and Kimi in the same team they can both have off days

I told my boss this and he cried
He runs our F1 dream team league, and there have been a few changes this season, but I have just accepted his auto swap rather than a free one, just as well really I'm on top and heading for £150 1st prize.

so far I haven't seen one quote from Piquet about this so until he speaks out I will keep an open mind.

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Strange though that a brazilian TV company were first to get the news...
As I said in a previous post whether he did it or not I think that sour grapes is a major factor in this story suddenly coming out..
And just the possibilities that NPjr could have done it will mean that a lot of the main teams in most motorsport events will not now want anything to do with him..

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
as you said the reports came out from Brasil which would point to a certain someone put sometimes two and two can add up to five.
Lets wait and see, there are too many variables that make it almost impossible to calculate and communicate to the drivers anyway. He he had crashed differently too they could have just had waved yellows

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Badoer blames the media for being slow !
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/78383
I'm sorry but if the car can win the race then it should not also be propping up the tail end of the field.

Liuzzi confirmed at Force India this morning....Blimey a reserve driver getting first dibs at a race seat vacancy !!

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
I think if anything the testing rules don't help and there should have been clauses in there to allow this. Badoer hasn't tested this year with the new car and that didn't help, if it had been 1-2 years ago I think he might have done better.
Will be interesting to see what happens at Force India now, Monza is a different track to Spa so they might not repeat the performance anyway

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
I'm not saying Badoer should have been challenging Kimi, but he should at least have been challenging for points. He was never even close.
I think Fridays are a much underutilised resource. Given that the teams are all there with the kit , circuits providing marshalling and safety cover and paying spectators looking to see stuff why not let them run three cars on Friday with the third car being available for a pay driver in the case of teams looking for funding or a real test for rookie drivers in a representative environment. To limit track crowding teams could be limited to two cars on track at one time. Tweak the engine regs to give teams an allocation of engines for the year to be split between the drivers as necessary. That way the Friday drivers could always have the old engines............

Not even sure any driver could have come into a car with little testing and in two races challanged for points.. You also have to remember that the Ferrari's at that time weren't known to be even competative and after Massa withdrew all development would have been switched over to Kimi.
But saying that Badoer was making stupid mistakes and I don't think it was timing that was an issue but instead his constistant off-road spins..

Re: Formula 1 2009 Season [may contain real time spoilers]
Your teamate is always the benchmark. If the car is competitive you should both be at the front, if its not then you both be in the mire !. Lets see how Liuzzi does at Force India I seem to recall Sutil and Fisi were there or thereabouts,
According to Forix the 2009 comparison is.................
Advantage position: Giancarlo Fisichella 7 (58.3%), Adrian Sutil 5 (41.7%)
Advantage time: Giancarlo Fisichella 6 (50.0%), Adrian Sutil 6 (50.0%)
Thats pretty close
Using the same stats you can see why Bourdais was released...
Advantage position: Sébastien Bourdais 2 (22.2%), Sébastien Buemi 7 (77.8%)
Advantage time: Sébastien Bourdais 3 (33.3%), Sébastien Buemi 6 (66.7%)
Thats not so close
