Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
If I can take notice of whispers going around at work, apparently my 4 week review will be coming up within the next week and that at the end of the review I will be offered a permanent role in the warehouse. Not sure whether to be confident about it happening as the ones telling me this are known for their joking around. If I had to put a figure on it, I'd say I am about 70% confident to believe them.

We've got one of those, bit difficult to clean though...
My happy thought, I've finally got my social security number. I can now have a bank account and get a job.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Just came in from tonight's 5.1 mile run, which means over the past 7 days I've run a total of 23 miles, pretty much surprising myself considering I was out most of the summer with injuries and only really started back running about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Half, or even full marathon beckons next year....

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
was a bit disappointed in my weight loss this week only 3.5 lb still leaves a little over 3 for my end of year goal and I am injured still so no weights. Hope I will make it still by next week though. However my sparring was the best yet so the rest has made a huge difference. I could feel my old self got my kicks going turning kicks my old favorite the hook kick and even threw a few spinning kicks in for good measure

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Had a mini review today at work, was due on Halloween. Apparently, apart from a couple of minor points that need to be discussed (which apparently everyone is getting told not just me), and that if he can get approval from area management once my work placement is over and seasonal contract finishes on Christmas Eve I will be given a permanent full time contract in the New Year.
Apparently two of the supervisors who are hard to please have both been leaving reports of praise for the manager to see and other workers feedback is good. I have even been asked to walk down to tills with cash office staff while they take money out of the tills and back to the office, which shows trust in someone they have only known for a month.
Oh, and I know I shouldn't gloat but the one supervisor I didn't like has now been demoted to working on the tills. She turned around the other week and said she could only do 4 hours meaning the other 2 in the cash office were doing 11 hour shifts last week and this week.
Shame I have a cold to ruin my excellent mood tonight.

You may have a cold Mark but your happiness still shines through. Well done.

Re: The Happy Thought Thread Part 4
Someone I work with has tried booking the day the console comes out off. Shame for him then that during November and December no-one is allowed holiday leave. Think he will be calling in sick the day of launch lol.

For those odd times when you want to go incognito? I have used one on the odd occasion and no one recognised me, very effective piece of kit.
