There's a problem with 24. Jack doesn't seem to age in it. I mean, he must be in his 50s and the stuff that happens to him? All the running he does, the torture he goes through.
Also, do we expect to see flying cars or the start of flying cars in this season? I wonder if they'll also show custom cars...

Apparently for the first 2 hours of the new series, Jack balances his cheque book, and sorts out his tax return - gripping stuff!

Hey, I love the show. I spent several days of my life doing nothing but watching every episode of 24.

RIP Don S Davis
Better known to us all as General George Hammond from Stargate - he died sunday morning from a heart attack at home, he quit the series with health issues - he had had ongoing heart problems and diabetes. Age 65

Sad news indeed.
Missus says she first knew him from Twin Peaks, in which he apparently played a somewhat similar character.

It's only when you look back at some of the really old episodes of SG-1 that you realise how far it's drifted from where it started. It's gone kind of the way Star Trek did, much too obsessed with its own universe and mythos with too little attention to just telling good, self-contained sci-fi adventure stories.

Dunno if anyone has said yet but Fringe has been picked up http://uk.reuters.com/article/televi...28649120080515

Fox is making a big publicity push with "Fringe," a new science-fiction drama from J.J. Abrams, the force behind the popular castaway thriller "Lost" on Walt Disney Co's ABC. He was also behind past audience favorites "Alias" and "Felicity."

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other Snippets
I don't like her, but some of you lot do so I thought I'd mention that Freema Agyeman (Martha - Dr Who) has a leading role in the BBC revival of the Survivors series due to be shown later this year.
More info about cast and program (If you've not seen the original could be spoilers)
