I'm still wondering when they are going to drop the new firmware promised to fix the notorious Puma 5 issues.

Why didn't VM pick this glaring fault in their trialling of the Hub3 hardware? Seems a basic check when latency & jitter are primary features of any modem.

Probably too far along the development route to jump horses. Not an uncommon problem when a chip set issue emerges.

Re: Think Broadband Ping Monitor Results (POST YOURS)
Not sure what's going on here:
Still able to pull full download speed but upload is half of what it should be
That and the bits of packet loss. Is it possible to have upstream congestion? Although would that not affect download speeds?

I thought Intel had released a fix and it was just down to the end manufacturers to incorporate it?

Managed to get the Hub to lock on to the other 2 upsteams available (39.4 and 46.2MHz), earlier on today. Peak time appears much better, so guessing the other 2 upstream channels are borked/congested.

They released something that mitigates some symptoms. To 'fix' it they would have to trash the modems' throughput by turning off some of the hardware acceleration.

Ha, such a shame really as other than this issue the SH3 is decent enough.

Trouble-free apart from characteristic SH3 noise. Reboot at 2 am.
