Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
All good now Osem just waiting for things to be approved for my Mum to get a ramp. The social work department have now done a site visit and been given quotes from companies they use. I was informed today that they do not see an issue giving my Mum's health, then hopefully it should not be too long for my Mum's wheel chair ramp to be fitted then we will be able to purchase a Electric Wheelchair for her at the moment a electric wheelchair is just not a option due to the weight of it and access.
In the time being we a looking at other options to make things easier for my Dad to push the chair up the driveway and a power pack for her current wheel chair seems a good option I found this on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wheelchair-.../dp/B00IXHU6CE and I'm sure hubby will be able to fit this no problem plus it's a lot cheaper than the £700-£800 we were being quoted for it at our local mobility aids shop.
I'm just grateful that we have a department within the council that can supply wheel chair ramps as my parents driveway is very steep so we would need a zig zag ramp and the prices we were getting quoted was well out our budget.
I would welcome any feedback on this power pack maybe a member knows someone who uses something similar or has experience of using one themselves. What I am looking for is something that can be put on and took off with little effort as the wheel chair still needs to be light enough to get down two steps as it is my Dad who is 80 years old who pushes the chair.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Glad you're getting it sorted weenie.
My pet hate for the day? Hacking wall tiles off!!! Grrrr...
Mind you at least I can say I stuck them on very well last time around I suppose.
I've got 3/4 of the old tiles off now, removed the old adhesive and made good the original plaster where necessary. I've left the area around the shower tiled for now so Jnr can use it up until the last minute. The tiles are coming end of next week so I'll be spending the next few days planning out exactly where I'll be putting them. It's been ages since I did any scale drawings so it was nice to measure it all up today and draw out the installation on paper for a view of what it'll look like.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
We saw our close friend today this afternoon for quite a few hours and he seemed to be quite chipper compared to 2 days ago when we saw him and we were just talking about old times a lot and it was nice to see even have a little bit to eat and drink as he is hoping to go to the hospice soon where hopefully his family can bring the beloved family dog to see him several times before he sadly passes away which is very likely to be in the coming weeks.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Not sure if I can class this as a moan, but I will because IF it happens (a massive IF because I doubt it will ever happen) I will be having to stay away from home Sunday to Wednesday. We count ASDA, where they have several flow leaders (basically people telling others where they are going next, etc) and they have recently promoted one to a supervisory position and another has left for some reason, meaning they have 2 vacancies in flow leaders.
One of the managers who runs ASDA said to me in an email that my name was mentioned for one of the flow leader jobs. Whilst I would be daft to turn down what would be seen as a promotion, I don't really like the idea of being away for 3 nights, sharing a room with people I don't like. Ugh.
The final decision comes down to my favourite Polish manager, and she told me when I mentioned that ASDA were trying to take me that I wouldn't be moving to ASDA because Waitrose needs me. So I guess the moan there could be that I am not getting the flow lead job. Oh I am so confused and conflicted.

Cats - The legal issues of trespass and fouling
What is the law relating to cats fouling?
There are no specific laws which relate to cats and fouling.
The law of trespass
The law relating to the trespass of domestic animals is contained in the Animals Act 1971. However, cats enjoy a unique position as the Animals Act 1971 does not apply to them. A cat cannot, therefore, in law trespass. As a cat cannot trespass its owner cannot be legally responsible for what their cat does outside of their property.

cats soon realise these devices are harmless and just carry on as normal leaving the person who purchased them sad and out of pocket .

Chicken manure pellets scattered around drive our local cats away. Especially near the Kiwi Vine that they like to munch on as it has the same effect on them as Catmint.

We have been waiting in all day waiting for someone to arrive to do their yearly inspection of our boiler and no one turned up.

I don't know Smurf. Kitty got the fright of his life this afternoon when he toddled up the drive for his usual crap. Very satisfying.
Doubtless be'll soon get used to it, but a potato gun is the next surprise for him I think i'm being very humane tbh.
