Well the fact they are still allowing ppl to opt out means THEY KNOW THEY ARE NOT 100% SAFE...... (Those who do take this are willlingly taking this in. Those who know whats what, can opt out of it)
Otherwise they would outright force it on all.......

Re: Smart Meter, Yae or Nae?
No that's not the reason at all. They are just giving people a choice. Eventually everyone will have smart meters. Maybe just just don't want the expense of switching them all out. If your old meter works then fine. Keep on it till it needs a replacement.
Also it's not a question of safety. They aren't dangerous or harmful.

You really do talk so much bollocks all the time no wonder people think you're a bit strange and very gullible.

Re: Smart Meter, Yae or Nae?
So i have now moved to the Agile tariff. So i will be charging my car tomorrow afternoon and they will be paying me 4.16p per KWH. My car will need 38 KWH to fill. Plus we will be using the washing machine and dryer at the same time

Glad it is working out positively for you. For me I don't have an EV and I couldn't possibly shift my usage when at home when the the prices are far over the SVT in my evenings, I've compared my Tracker with Agile on the Octopus Compare app and over the last month Tracker is slightly cheaper for me in pence.
