One thing to do now if your router has that feature: Backup all your settings. That's what I have done. Then if there is a firmware update or something goes wrong and things get wiped it is easy to get things working again.
Also one thing I would do is give your cameras static addresses and set them up on your router to be something higher than the number of devices you connect, eg 192.168.0.30 then you will never run out of addresses and it won't cause any problems.
