Re: Football Season 2011/12
The FA should have done the JT saga weeks ok, they should have spoken with Capello, but he didn't have the bottle to drop him.
Other clubs would have dropped him ' as he could not concentrate on the game with full focus'. But what JT has been charged with is serious, and the whole matter has dragged on too long.
He has a history of problems with other players, and this respect campaign does not exist with the example that he carried on.
Even his club should drop him, but as fools as they are, are backing him to the hilt.
IF that was a member of the public, we would be in serious trouble, but a footballer is no different. The FA is a farce and they should have done this weeks ago, and in my book after the way he was stripped before, he should not have had the skipper band back again.

The Welbeck dive
Quote:
Rooney scored emphatically and he was on the spot again when Webb decided Welbeck had been fouled by Ivanovic, although contact was minimal.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
The penalty may have been questionable but it wasn't a dive, there was clear contact.

So how come he gets dragged all over outside the penalty area with more contact than that but stays on his feet?
Yet he taps an opposition player's foot and he's doing a barrel role. That does not scream simulation to you? Or the sheer fact he was the one that slipped his foot behind the player so It looked real? There are no Maybe's here, He quite clearly moved his leg into that position with the intention of diving and then clearly does so.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
wellbeck was a dive. He moved his foot deliberately to make contact with the player then deliberatelt went down. I call that a dive, similar to the alan johnson incident
just because a player forces his foot to make contact isn't a penalty
unfortunately a lot of players are either cheats or matchstick men, falling down under slightess contact, not because of the contact
